How to Rooting Samsung Galaxy S4 (international version)


Have you got the latest Android smartphone Samsung Galaxy S4? If it is, it is time you ventured rooting Galaxy S4.

How to rooting below is for the international version of the Galaxy S4 (i9500) and the Korean version (SHV-E300S / K) that uses Exynos 5 Soc.

1. Download Samsung USB Drivers here, download ODIN from here, and download the CWM recovery here.

Afterwards, please install the USB drivers and extract content ODIN rar file to your computer desktop. Do not forget also to extract the tar file in the CWM recovery zip file to the desktop.

NOTE: You do not need to install USB drivers if it has any Samsung KIES on your computer.

2. Run Odin, click the PDA button and select the tar file that you have previously extract on your desktop from CWM recovery zip file. DO NOT change anything in the settings ODIN.

3. Turn off the Galaxy S4, re-insert the battery. Turn on the Galaxy S4 in Download mode by pressing the 3 button Volume DOWN + Home + Power simultaneously. Next you'll be greeted with a warning about a Custom OS. Continue by pressing the Volume UP button.

4. Galaxy S4 connect to the computer, wait until Odin can detect it. When Odin has detected your S4, will display a random COM NO in a white box.

5. Press the Start button and wait for ODIN flashing a custom recovery to the Galaxy S4. After the recovery is complete ter-flash, the Galaxy S4 will automatically reboot.

6. Galaxy S4 turn off once again. This time, reboot into Recovery mode by pressing Volume UP + Home + Power simultaneously.

7. When the Galaxy S4 is in recovery mode, use the Volume keys to navigate to the 'root your phone.' Select the option by pressing the Power button, then select the option 'root your phone (new method).'

8. Once the rooting process is complete, reboot the Galaxy S4 with navigation and select the option 'reboot system now.' If for some reason rooting does not work, please repeat step # 6 and # 7, but this time select the option to 'root your phone (old method) 'in CWM recovery.

It should be noted that when you have succeeded in rooting the Galaxy S4, you will not be able to receive OTA updates directly from Samsung. You will also likely get a warning saying the software system you have terkontaminiasi Galaxy S4. If such a warning appears, do not ignore.
